Morris Feinmann Care Village – Projects

The aim of this care village was, in part, to cater to the needs of the ageing population of South Manchester’s Jewish community.

The design incorporates dementia-friendly principles into a contemporary, four-storey building. Specific cultural requirements, such as separate milk and meat kitchens, were incorporated into the design and required close consultation with the community and its leaders.

Communal facilities are open to the wider neighbourhood and include a kosher cafe, a synagogue, a community room, a gym and a hair salon.

The village has become a focal point, offering events and outreach support for those who live there and for the wider Jewish community.
