Belong Wirral – Projects

Our eleventh project for Belong features quayside retirement living as part of the Wirral Waters regeneration masterplan by Peel L&P, enabling an intergenerational dimension to this exciting and innovative new community.

Sited in a prominent location on the waterfront our seven-storey building, with architectural language respecting of the industrial heritage of the area, maximises views across the east float and toward Liverpool.

Positively integrating with the masterplan design, the building has direct access into the village core from the boardwalk at the waters edge. This coupled with the active frontage created by Belong’s publicly accessible facilities, including bistro, hair salon, spa, gym and venue, creates a strong link to the public realm at street level.

The six care households comprising 72 rooms, plus three guest rooms set on first to third floors, will have direct access from the living spaces to a private external landscaped roof garden and terraces and balconies, designed with sensory gardens, pathways and external seating protected from the more exposed waterfront location.

On the upper floors, accessed through the main village communal areas at ground floor, are 34 one and two-bed independent living apartments, with internal open plan living spaces and external balconies and terraces.
