Crewe Lifestyle Centre – Projects

This project is the culmination of the client’s driving ambition to bring people and services together. Operating six individual facilities across Crewe town centre, it was clear that these outdated buildings impacted on the quality and efficiency of services being delivered.

The solution was to build a combined lifestyle centre at the heart of the town centre, which was easy to access and flexible enough go beyond what was previously offered. The result is a facility that not only re-houses the old leisure centre, adult and child social care centres and library under one roof, but that does so in a way that positively promotes cross-referral and best use of space.

As a catalyst for the town’s civic and cultural quarter regeneration, the scheme has already had a positive effect on the local community, as reflected in attendance statistics and feedback.

Crewe Lifestyle Centre has won ‘Best Community Benefit’ at the RICS North West Awards, ‘Best Public Scheme’ at the LABC North West awards and ‘Regional Project of the Year’ at the North West Construction awards.
