As part of the Government’s £2bn School Rebuilding Programme, Deyes High School was designed to create a new modern facility for 1,200 pupils in Maghull.

Demolition of the existing school facilities on the 13-acre site, with the exception of the 300-student sixth form, now makes way for a new 110,000 sq ft facility which is net zero carbon in operation.

A new two and three-storey building with associated indoor and outdoor sports facilities, plus a part-covered six court multi-use games area has been constructed. In addition external canopies create a focal point together with hard and soft landscaping throughout.

Winner of the North West Regional Construction Award 2024 'climate action award' category and finalist in the National Constructing Excellence Award.

The architect team was visionary and had an amazing ability to become part of the school team, looking through their lens and that of the students, to achieve the very best design.
