Greatstone Hotel – Projects

Plans have been submitted to replace the existing 1960s Greatstone Hotel with a residential block containing 57 apartments.

The L-shaped design comprises a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments, with one three-bedroom flat on the top floor. The building features a faceted brick façade, and a faceted corten steel top storey. The facets create changing shadows through ought the day and help to articulate the façade.

At present, the site houses two Victorian-style villas – one is currently used as the hotel and the other as a family annexe. A total of seven of the proposed apartments will be designated as affordable.
