Laurus Grace – Projects

A new two-storey alternative provision school for children aged between 11 and 16 with complex social, emotional and mental health needs.

The building will incorporate small classrooms and specialist teaching rooms for up to 80-pupils designed to cater for children who need additional learning support before transitioning back into mainstream education. In addition a fitness studio, engineering suite and a100-place car park have been incorporated.

The new facility will be built on land currently occupied by Hazel Grove High School and will replace the currently unused tennis and netball courts.

A highly sustainable design has been produced, notably via a fabric-first approach, and solar PV installed on the roof and care park shelters.

The school will be managed by the Laurus Trust, a multi-academy trust which operates schools across the North West.
