Sheffield North Active – Projects

Representing one of a new generation of lifestyle centres in the UK, this wellbeing centre combines six GP referral rooms, each suitable for carrying out minor operations, alongside the more traditional wet and dry leisure facilities. Users can be prescribed a course of swimming lessons or fitness classes as part of their pathway to a healthier lifestyle.

The design of the centre is clean, simple, functional and efficient, with a strong emphasis on robust materials and details.

This scheme demonstrates how a holistic approach to community health and wellbeing can help to reduce the burden on the NHS.
