The clients aim of a contemporary, mixed-tenure, housing scheme with a tenure-blind appearance has been achieved on this brownfield site.

The houses are arranged along the new road that loops through the site in short terraces of two, three or four houses, with apartment villas ‘bookending’ the terraces.

This layout creates an architectural rhythm and avoids cars dominating the house-fronts and streets. It also creates a strong building line and an attractive, lively street frontage.
