Comprising a six lane 25m pool, learner pool, 80 station fitness suite, sauna & steam, two multi-purpose studios, spin studio, café and viewing area, Waltham Abbey represents the latest in compact and affordable sports facilities.
The building has one of the lowest percentages of circulation within any leisure centre in the country (4.8%) and is fully Sport England compliant. The centre boasts a green roof over the pool hall which befits its parkland setting.
We have worked with Pozzoni for 20 years. Waltham Abbey typifies the level of commitment, support, leisure knowledge and design which keeps us wanting to work with them. The speed of approach, quality of solution, technical knowledge and understanding of operator needs led to a fast and high-quality building which helped us to win this contract.
The scheme is ultra-efficient in plan with minimal circulation, yet at the same time feels light and generous in space. We would happily recommend Pozzoni for any leisure project.
