Oh we do like to be beside the seaside

In October 2022 we opened our new Brighton studio, initially with just myself, swiftly followed by my Pozzoni colleagues Alex, Jose and Xenos. The following month we started a recruitment drive and were joined in January 2023 by some new faces, Sara and Josh, to support our strong pipeline of secured work across the southern region. We also can’t forget our pets of Pozzoni and are delighted to welcome chief pooch, Maido.

So, how did this happen? And why Brighton?

The pandemic saw the way we lived and worked change overnight. Whilst we all experienced the many challenges this brought, it did also bring with it some positives. For me personally, I had lived in Manchester for 20+ years and both my husband and I had always wanted to live by the sea. As we came out of the pandemic, we decided this was an opportunity we should take.

I initially raised the question about whether a relocation would be possible, particularly as I really enjoy the projects, clients and colleagues I have been working with for the last eight years. Pozzoni had a number of later living sector projects commissioned in the south, including Dorset, Hampshire and Kent, so the opportunity for a possible move seemed promising.

I was fortunate that Pozzoni equally viewed the relocation as a great opportunity for growth and expansion. In addition, several of our existing clients also felt they would benefit from having a Pozzoni office on the south coast. So, following a period of shortlisting potential seaside towns to call home, the final list considered was Bournemouth, Christchurch and top of the list, Brighton.

After much discussion Pozzoni decided to open a studio in Brighton and we looked into finding a suitable office space.

So, here we are. Excited that our new Brighton studio is now open and, for me, only a short commute to the office is a bonus!
